City firefighters responded to a call at 5:16 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 19, at Hendrickson Park. According to the report, someone had set fire inside the Rotary Club’s Borrow a Book Box, damaging books and the box. Police and a Rotary Club representative were called to the scene.

City firefighters responded to an alarm at 3:55 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 19, at the 1004 Tremont residence owned by Roberta Collins. Collins told firefighters she accidentally triggered the alarm.
Anthony S. Ritter, 39, of the 300 block of West Victor was arrested at 11:35 a.m. Monday, Dec. 21, on Kentucky Avenue on suspicion of assault, a probation warrant on the original charge of property damage and a warrant for domestic assault. He was booked at the Butler County jail.

Stephen D. Anderson, 38, of the 800 block of South 11th Street was booked Monday, Dec. 21, at the Butler County jail on suspicion of fraudulent use of a credit device.

Fred L. Leeks, 67, of Harviell was booked Monday, Dec. 21, at the Butler County jail on suspicion of stealing and a warrant for passing a bad check.
Keith D. Hodge, 66, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 2:20 p.m. Monday, Dec. 21, on suspicion of DWI, resisting arrest, driving while revoked and failure to register a vehicle following a single-vehicle crash on US 67, four miles north of Poplar Bluff.
According to the report, Hodge’s 2012 Harley Davidson motorcycle ran off the right side of the road and overturned, and he suffered minor injuries. Hodge was taken to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for treatment before he was booked at the Butler County jail.
