Poplar Bluff teen dies in Tuesday crash

A 17-year-old Poplar Bluff resident was killed in a one-vehicle crash at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 15, on Highway KK, four miles west of Wappapello.

According to the report, Dominick A. Esquivel was operating a 2014 Dodge pickup eastbound when it ran off the road and struck a tree.

Esquivel was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:39 p.m. by Butler County Coroner Andy Moore. Esquivel is the 64th fatality in Troop E this year.
