FISK, Mo. — Don Eubanks, 79, of Fisk, Missouri, passed away Monday, Dec. 14, 2020. Don was born March 24, 1941, the 12th child of the late Oscar and Daisy (Young) Eubanks. FISK, Mo. — Don Eubanks, 79, of Fisk, Missouri, passed away Monday, Dec. 14, 2020.

Don was born March 24, 1941, the 12th child of the late Oscar and Daisy (Young) Eubanks. On Feb. 16, 1963, he married Ernestine Powell. She preceded him in death Nov. 2, 1998. On March 20, 1999, he married Janice Williams-Wright. She survives.

Also surviving is one son: Marc (Rachel) Eubanks of California, Missouri; one stepson: Steven (Nicole) Wright of Broseley, Missouri; six grandchildren: Adam Eubanks of Rolla, Missouri, Jordan Eubanks of California, Missouri, Sarah, Joe, Hannah, and Leah Wright of Broseley; one brother: Kenneth (Donna) Eubanks, and many nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by six sisters and four brothers.

He spent three years in the Marine Corps and then returned to Michigan and worked at Fisher Body in Pontiac for 13 1/2 years. After that he attended the Northside School of Preaching in Harrison, Arkansas. He preached for Churches of Christ for over 50 years in Jasper, Lynn, and McDougal, Arkansas, and Bernie, Palmyra, Jadwin, Cabool, Van Buren, Urbana, Campbell, Greenville and Qulin, Missouri. Don made six trips to India as a missionary. He was retired from preaching on a regular basis at his time of death.

He served one term on the Twin Rivers school board and several years on the water board at Fisk. Don was a supporter of the Broseley Senior/Community Center before and after the new building. He helped to raise funds for the new building and for the last several years the “Eubanks Family Reunion” was conducted there. He was also a woodworker and always was playing in his woodshop making things.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 17, 2020 at Dexter Church of Christ. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. with Adam Noles and Jeremy Tucker officiating. Burial will be in Bernie Cemetery in Bernie. Any memorials may be given to Children’s Homes Inc: 5515 Walcott Rd, Paragould, AR 72450.
