City firefighters responded at 10:24 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 24, to a motor-vehicle crash at the intersection of North Westwood and Kanell boulevards. Firefighters remained until all vehicles were removed.

City firefighters responded at 1:58 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 25, to a vehicle fire at 2602 Kingsland Drive.
According to the report, a police officer on the scene reported the vehicle was fully involved and was next to the carport on the house. It appeared the house also was on fire, and it was evacuated.
After putting out the fire on the home’s carport, firefighters put out the fire involving a GMC van. The engine compartment had the most damage.
Firefighters set a positive-pressure ventilation fan at the front door of the house to remove the smoke and checked the attic for fire extension.
After the fire was out, firefighters found a 2013 Chrysler Town and County van had heat damage to its passenger side.
Firefighters checked the home for a smoke detectors and found none. The occupant was given a detector and told to put it up.
