City firefighters responded at 5:24 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 22, to the alley behind 825 Park Ave. to an unauthorized burn. A city police officer showed firefighters where someone had started a small fire behind a vacant structure. The fire was extinguished it.

City firefighters responded at 8:02 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 22, to an alarm at Poplar Bluff Regional Center LQ, 2511 Sunset Terrace. It was investigation only.

City firefighters responded at 10:02 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 22, to Kissinger & Kirkman Investments, 2102 Shelby Road No. 1, to a possible structure fire. An officer, who responded to the scene reported no visible smoke or fire. Steam, vapor or dust thought to be smoke coming from the rooftop had prompted the call. Firefighters used a ladder to access the roof to find steam was coming from the exhaust on the rooftop heating unit.

City firefighters responded at 10:06 a.m. Monday, Nov. 23, to an alarm at the Poplar Bluff Kindergarten Center. It was investigation only.

City firefighters responded at 3:23 p.m. Monday, Nov. 23, to an unauthorized burn in the alleyway behind 800 Park Ave. Firefighters found nothing, but walked down the alley to find there was a small fire burning in the rear yard of a vacant residence. Firefighters used approximately 25 gallons of water to put out the fire.

City firefighters responded at 10:41 p.m. Monday, Nov. 23, to the smell of smoke at Park Avenue and Cherry Street. Firefighters had responded earlier in the day to the area, but found no sign or smell of smoke.
