Jerry Carter Sr.

QULIN -- Jerry Odell Carter Sr., age 71, of Qulin, Missouri, died Thursday, Nov. 19, 2020, at Evelyn’s House Hospice Center in Creve Coeur, Missouri.

Mr. Carter was born May 6, 1949, in Qulin, Missouri, to the late Obal Carter and Alice Maxine Melton. He had served in the Army during the Vietnam War.

In September of 2005, he married Karen Wells. She survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Angela (John) Kassing of Poplar Bluff and Sherri Joiner of Broseley; two sons, Jerry Odell Carter Jr. of Fisk and Travis Carter (Ashley) of Poplar Bluff; three brothers, Gary Leon (Dee) Carter of Poplar Bluff, Greg and Kent Carter, both of Qulin; two sisters, Joyce (Stanley) Webb of Rombauer, and Linda Boshert of Astoria, Oregon; and five grandchildren, Truman Tyler Aldridge, Sarah, Emily and Zachary Joiner and Emersyn Carter.

Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 22, 2020, at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Qulin. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jim Sanders officiating. Burial will be in Qulin Cemetery.
