Glenn A. Blancett, 72, of Poplar Bluff died Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2020 at his residence in Poplar Bluff. He was born April 18, 1948 in Paragould, Arkansas, to the late John and Alleen Blancett. Glenn A. Blancett, 72, of Poplar Bluff died Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2020 at his residence in Poplar Bluff.

He was born April 18, 1948 in Paragould, Arkansas, to the late John and Alleen Blancett. On Dec. 14, 1967, he was united in marriage to Patricia (Wilkerson) Blancett. They shared 50 plus years of marriage. Glenn served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

He loved rabbit hunting, demolition derbies, watching his grandchildren play sports.

He is survived by his wife and his children: Glenn Dale Blancett (Teresa), Laura Keown (Rod), Craig Blancett; his grandchildren: Alex Keown, Elizabeth Blancett, Logan Keown, MacKenzie Keown, Kaitlyn Keown; one sister, Marlene Parton; two brothers, Bill Blancett (Ann), Jerry Blancett (Donna); a sister-in-law, Mildred Blancett; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Virgil, Calvin, Bob, and Johnny Blancett.

Visitation will begin at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, 2020 at Fowler Sullivan Funeral Home. The funeral service will start at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel with Ron Fowler officiating. Internment will follow in the Ash Hill Cemetery at Fisk with full military rites.
