Two Ellington children were injured in a one-vehicle crash at 8:10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 18, on Main Street in Ellington.
According to the report, Emma M. Griffith, 24, of Ellington was operating a 2005 Nissan Pathfinder northbound when it ran off the right side of the road and struck a bridge end.
Griffith’s 4-year-old passenger suffered minor injuries, while a 12-year-old passenger suffered moderate injuries. The children were taken to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Two Stoddard County residents were injured in a two-vehicle crash at 4:40 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, on Highway 114 at Highway 153 at Essex.
According to the report, Ralph D. Mclean, 40, of St. Louis was operating a southbound 2006 Hino truck when he pulled into the path of a 2008 Chrysler Sebring being driven westbound by Judy E. Harris, 70, of Dexter.
Harris suffered moderate injuries, as did her passenger, an 11-year-old Essex girl.
Both were taken by ambulance to Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau for treatment.

Lizzel M. Stadler, 34, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 6:01 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, on a Butler County warrant for larceny and on suspicion of no seat belt. She was booked at the Scott County Jail.

Katrina Ruachelle Braden, 29, of the 700 block of Warren Street was booked at the Butler County jail Thursday, Sept. 17, on two capias warrants for probation violation on the original charges of possession of a controlled substance and first-degree tampering with a motor-vehicle and a warrant for first-degree tampering with a motor vehicle.

Alex Michael Govoni, 26, of the 1200 block of Grand Avenue was booked at the Butler County jail Thursday, Sept. 17, on suspicion of escape from custody and five failure to a appear warrants for two counts of violation of an ex-parte/full order of protection, second-degree burglary, stealing and first-degree burglary.

Brandon Lee McNeil, 33, of the 1100 block of Nooney was booked at the Butler County jail Thursday, Sept. 17, on suspicion of possession of fewer than 35 grams of marijuana, unlawful possession of a firearm and possession of drug paraphernalia, three failure to appear warrants for driving while revoked/suspended, speeding and no insurance and a warrant for unlawful possession of a firearm.

Carol F. Bounds reported a window was broken in an apparent attempt to gain entry into a building she owns in the 400 block of Vine Street between 5 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, and 9 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 17.

Jim Chrisman reported at about 9:40 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, that a window was broken at the Amtrak station in the 400 block of South Main Street and two pieces of luggage stolen.

Jason L. Longhibler of the 800 block of Oakhill reported at about 8:50 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, that hand and power tools and an air compressor had been stolen from the front of his residence sometime during the prior night.
According to the report, a circular saw, two chain saws, reciprocating saw kit, orbital jigsaw, variable-speed jigsaw, oscillating saw, drill, pressure washer and miscellaneous hand tools were among the items stolen.

MALDEN POLICE DEPARTMENT
MALDEN — Chauncey Townsend-McBride, 23, of Malden was arrested Thursday, Sept. 17, on a Malden municipal warrant for contempt of court on an original expired registration charge and a Butler County failure to appear warrant. He was booked at the Malden City Jail.
