City firefighters responded at 4:19 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 3, to an alarm at 10Box, 1301 Shelby Road. It was investigation only.

City firefighters responded at 12:45 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, to a report of an unauthorized burn at the intersection of South B and Abbot streets.
According to the report, firefighters were unable to locate a fire, but while driving through the area a second time, they were flagged down by a man at 800 Abbot St.
The man reportedly he had burned a large box on the river levee across from his residence.
Firefighters checked the location, but nothing was found smoldering or smoking.

City firefighters responded at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, to a report of an unauthorized burn at the intersection of 11th and Mary streets.
According to the report, firefighters found trash burning behind the 1023 Mary St. residence occupied by Jeremiah Patterson and owned by Roger Hogg.
Firefighters told Patterson about the city’s burn ordinance and trash requirements and used 50 gallons of water to put out the fire.
