Arkansas man dies in Butler County crash

A 27-year-old Jonesboro, Arkansas, man was killed in a one-vehicle crash at 7:47 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, on Highway 51, three miles south of Qulin.

According to the report, Austin R. Pruitt was operating a 2005 Ford pickup southbound when it ran off the right side of the road and overturned.

Pruitt, who was ejected, was pronounced dead at the scene at 8:55 p.m. by Butler County Coroner Andy Moore. He is the 41st fatality in Troop E this year.

Pruitt’s passenger, Jamie L. Koch, 32, of Doniphan, suffered serious injuries and was flown to Regional One Medical Center in Memphis, Tennessee, for treatment.
