The Three Rivers College tax rate will remain unchanged for the third year in a row.
The Board of Trustees approved a rate of $0.2355 per $100 of assessed valuation.
This is the same rate that TRC set for both 2018 and 2019.
Dr. Wesley Payne, TRC president, also reported to the board the CRISP technology building is fundamentally complete.
He said the college will probably host a formal event for it when the current health crisis calms down, and the facility is 100% complete.
The college also completed some road work over the summer.
They completed work in an area near the end of Raider Way, where the asphalt was rough due to usage, Payne said.
He said the area near campus housing’s dumpsters was being torn up when the garbage trucks turned in to pick them up. So, the college widened the concrete in that area to help with the problem.
They also completed roadwork near the Libla Family Sports Complex in an area where the exit narrowed, and the pedestrian walkway was “no longer clear.”
“By smoothing that out, fixing it and designating the walkway all the way across to the parking on the other side,” Payne said, “we have greatly improved the function there.”
