Ben Raymond Woolard departed this life suddenly Monday, Aug. 17, 2020. He was born Dec. 17, 1946.
He is survived by a brother, David Ray and wife, Sandy; children, Carl Richard and wife, Sheila, Angela Rae and husband, Ken, Keith Raymond, Kevin Ray and wife, Marsha, Chris Wagganer and wife, Karrie, and Angela Simmons and husband, Eric; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; companion Karen Wagganer; and ex-wife and friend Iris Stoncipher.
He was a former assistant pastor at Gospel Tabernacle in Poplar Bluff.
He is remembered for his outgoing personality, he never met a stranger and always took time to stop and talk to anyone. He enjoyed working with his sons, whether in a Broadcast booth or the Wrecker service. He loved God, his family and country.
There will be a visitation at 6-8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 21, at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff.
The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, in the funeral home chapel with C. R. Woolard and N. F. Woolard officiating. Burial will follow in the City Cemetery.
The funeral home now has a mandatory face covering policy.
