A 36-year-old Bloomfield man was injured in a one-vehicle crash at 10:07 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18, on County Road 284, one-half mile north of Aid.

According to the report, Raymond M. Vinson was operating a 2020 Ford Explorer northbound when he failed to negotiate a curve, which caused his SUV to run off the left side of the road and strike a tree.

Vinson suffered moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to SoutheastHEALTH of Stoddard County at Dexter for treatment.

A 62-year-old Baxter, Arkansas, man was injured in a motorcycle crash at 7:43 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18, on Highway 143, six miles north of Patterson.

According to the report, Jeffrey C. Harper was operating a 2008 Harley Davidson motorcycle northbound when it ran off the right side of the road and overturned.

Harper suffered moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Two Doniphan men were injured in a one-vehicle crash at 3:25 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18, on Highway P, five miles east of Gatewood.

According to the report, Richard L. Reynolds, 25, was operating a 2012 Freightliner eastbound when it ran off the right side of the road. Reynolds reportedly overcorrected, which caused his truck to run off the left side of the road and overturn.

Reynolds suffered moderate injuries and was flown to Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau for treatment.

Reynolds’ passenger, Jacob A. Donaldson, 34, suffered minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Three Ripley County residents were injured in a two-vehicle crash at 12:25 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18, on Highway 21, two miles south of Doniphan.

According to the report, Nicholas R. Nelson, 30, of Doniphan was operating a 2001 Acura southbound when it crossed the center line and struck a 2008 Ford Escape head on.

Nelson suffered minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for treatment.

The other driver, Terry L. Young, 54, of Gatewood, and her passenger, Ronda J. Evans, 33, of Doniphan, both suffered moderate injuries and were taken by ambulance to the Poplar Bluff hospital for treatment.

Joshua Emmerson, 44, of Houston, Texas, was arrested at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18, on suspicion of distribution of a controlled substance (Ecstasy), possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, no valid license and speeding. He was booked at the Butler County jail.

Erica L. Taylor, 32, of Missouri City, Texas, was arrested at 1:16 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18, on suspicion of distribution of a controlled substance (Ecstasy), possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Taylor was booked at the Butler County jail.

Joshua M. Kramer, 29, of Naylor was arrested at 6:16 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18, on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine). He was booked at the Ripley County Sheriff’s Department.

Juanita Renee Williams, 24, of the 1600 block of North 14th Street was arrested at 8:57 a.m. Monday, Aug. 17, at her residence on a municipal failure to appear warrant for no insurance. She was booked and released on bond.

Gregory Leech Jr., 30, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 8:35 a.m. Monday, Aug. 17, in the 1600 block of North 14th Street on a Scott County failure to appear warrant for no seat belt. He was booked at the Butler County jail.

Marcus Dewayne Powell, 37, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 4:35 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18, at Linc Park on D Street on a Butler County warrant for third-degree domestic assault. He was booked at the Butler County jail.

Jennifer Lynn Sullivan, 36, of the 500 block of North D Street was arrested at 6:40 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18, in the 700 block of North Westwood Boulevard on a Butler County warrant for trespassing and a municipal failure to appear warrant for first-degree trespassing. She was booked at the Butler County jail.

Mitchell Allen Dent, 26, of Wappapello was arrested at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18, in the 2600 block of North Westwood Boulevard on a Wayne County failure to appear warrant for possession of a controlled substance and a Wayne County warrant for three counts of sodomy. He was booked at the Butler County jail.

A 21-year-old Poplar Bluff woman was injured in a one-vehicle crash at 11:41 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18, at the intersection of Russell Road and Westwood Boulevard.

According to the report, Bailey Leeann Smith of the 2600 block of Rubye Springs was operating a 2015 Nissan Altima northbound on Westwood Boulevard at a “very high rate of speed” when she attempted to negotiate a left turn onto Russell Avenue.

Smith allegedly failed to negotiate the turn, which caused her car to run off the right side of the road and enter a grassy area on the north side of Russell.

Smith’s car then allegedly continued straight until it hit a utility pole west of the intersection.

Smith was taken by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for treatment.

She was arrested at 12:14 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 19, on suspicion of DWI (drugs), two counts of possession of a controlled substance and driving while revoked/suspended. She was booked at the Butler County jail.
