Two men were killed when their vehicle failed to yield at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 14, at a railroad crossing on Gettings Lane in Hayti, Missouri.
According to Highway Patrol reports, Titusan Townsend, 52, of Columbia, Missouri, who was driving a 2017 Chevrolet Impala failed to yield to a General Electric Burlington Northern Train.
Townsend and his passenger Ricky L. Tillman, 51, of Kennett, Missouri, were pronouced dead by Pemiscot County, Missouri, Coroner Jim Brimhall.
They are the 35th and 36th fatalities in Troop E this year.
