Leah Lynn (Marckini) Warn passed peacefully July 26, 2020, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. She was 81.

Leah was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, July 20, 1939, to William and Ida (Hanje) Marckini. She attended Creston High and Grand Rapids Junior College, where she met her husband, Richard E Warn. They married Dec 5, 1959.

Leah was a mother of two, worked as a florist and copy artist. After a move to Florida, she worked as a sales rep and school bus driver. With her husband, they were small business owners of a gas station and car rental agency. Later they bought a campground and moved to North Carolina.

Her love of horses began in her youth, owning several and riding endlessly. Her hobbies included flower gardening, painting and needlework. Her cooking was often requested by many and always freely given. With her husband, they raced Triumph Spitfires and travelled extensively in their RV. After “retirement,” they were work campers and volunteered all over the country including Yellowstone, Montana, Florida, Texas and Missouri. They spent their winters with their son in Florida. Later, they settled in Southeast Missouri to be with their daughter and grandson. There, both she and her husband were active volunteers with the VA Hospital and local Aviation Club. She was a member of Grace United Methodist, all in Poplar Bluff.

Leah was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and brother David G Marckini. She is survived by her son Steven R Warn, daughter Sueanne R Cmehil-Warn and grandson Christian E Cmehil-Warn.

Leah was a Daughter, Mother, Grandmother, Aunt, Great Aunt, Cousin and friend to many.

There will be a private ceremony at the Veteran’s Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri, where she will be reunited with her husband. Condolences can be sent to P.O. Box 146, Poplar Bluff, Mo., 63902. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity of your choice.
