MISSOURI STATE HIGHWAY PATROL

A 19-year-old Cape Girardeau resident was injured in a one-vehicle crash at 10 p.m. Sunday, July 26, on County Road 540, five miles west of Morehouse, in Stoddard County.

According to the report, Skylar L. Barr was operating a 2006 Pontiac G6 northbound when it ran off the road and struck a ditch.

Barr suffered moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to SoutheastHEALTH of Stoddard County at Dexter for treatment.

A 48-year-old Poplar Bluff man was injured in a one-vehicle crash at 11:50 p.m. Saturday, July 25, on Highway U, three miles west of Bernie.

According to the report, Scottie V. Triplett was operating a 2000 Buick Lasabre westbound when it ran off the right side of the road and became stuck in a field.

Triplett suffered minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for treatment.

A 15-year-old Fredericktown resident was killed in a one-vehicle crash at 6:24 p.m. Saturday, July 25, on County Road 208, five miles east of Fredericktown.

According to the report, David L. Robinson, 17, of Fredericktown was operating a 1998 Dodge pickup eastbound when a female passenger fell out of his truck’s unenclosed bed.

Then teen was flown to Parkland Healthcare in Farmington, where she was pronounced dead at 8:05 p.m. by a doctor there.

The teen is the 30th fatality in Troop E this year.

A 30-year-old Bernie man was injured in a two-vehicle crash at 7:04 p.m. Thursday, July 23, on Highway 25, two miles north of Bernie.

According to the report, Mario D. Jones was operating a northbound 2020 Dodge Challenger, which was attempting to pass a 2007 Volkswagen Jetta as the car was turning west onto County Road 664.

Jones’ car allegedly struck the Volkswagen being operated by Noah R. Church, 19, of Dexter.

Jones suffered minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to SoutheastHEALTH of Stoddard County at Dexter for treatment.

A 57-year-old Dallas, Texas, man was injured in a one-vehicle crash at 11:46 a.m. Thursday, July 23, on U.S. 67, five miles north of Poplar Bluff.

According to the report, Timothy L. Hankins was operating a 2016 Volvo southbound when it ran off the left side of the road and overturned.

Hankins suffered minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Tammy W. Mays, 49, of Bernie was arrested at 8:36 p.m. Saturday, July 25, in the 900 block of Westwood Boulevard on suspicion of second-degree assault. She was booked and released pending a review of the case by the possessing attorney.

A Dunklin County warrant was obtained on Saturday, July 25, charging Southard with stealing and resisting arrest.
