Lena Mae Badgley

Lena Mae Badgley, 90, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Lena was born on Jan. 23, 1930, to Dalton and Belva Porter in Poplar Bluff. She married L.R. “Dick” Badgley in Piggott, Ark., on Sept. 3, 1949.

Lena was a member of Memorial Baptist Church. She was a bookkeeper for Edna Hargett and Porter DeWitt. Her greatest joy in life was, by far, her family.

Lena is survived by one daughter, Mona Richardson (Matt) of Poplar Bluff; one son, Steve Badgley (Christine) of Poplar Bluff; two granddaughters, Shelly Benson (Joe) of Ballwin, Mo., Brandy Davis (Danny) of Poplar Bluff; two grandsons, Aaron Badgley of Poplar Bluff, Travis Badgley of Poplar Bluff; seven great-grandchildren, Hannah, Abby, Fisher, Kendall, Isaac, Dara, and Ronan.

Lena was preceded in death by her husband; parents; two brothers, Walter Porter and Glen Porter; two sisters, Neoma Sisk, and Lois Schenewrk.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2020, from 1:30-2:30 p.m. at Cotrell Funeral Service, followed by 3 p.m. graveside service at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Poplar Bluff, with officiating by Rev. Dennis Ward.
