Firefighters responded to a call at 11:01 a.m. Sunday, July 5, of a grass fire at the intersection of Garfield and Harper streets. Upon their arrival, firefighters found a small grass fire and used 10 gallons of water to put it out.

Firefighters responded at 12:15 a.m. Sunday, July 5, to a call of a fireworks-induced fire at Wiseman Park. Upon their arrival, firefighters discovered a rekindled fire in a cardboard launch pack and used 150 gallons of water to extinguish it.

Firefighters responded to a call at 6:10 p.m. Saturday, July 4, of fireworks being shot off inside the 624 Kinzer St. apartments owned by Keith Willcut. Upon their arrival, firefighters found smoke in a hallway and scorch marks from Roman candle fireworks. A thermal imaging camera was used to check for hot spots and a positive pressure ventilation fan was set up to clear smoke from the building.
