City firefighters responded at 6:18 a.m. Saturday, July 4, to an alarm at the Family Counseling Center, 3001 Warrior Lane. It was investigation only.

City firefighters responded at 4:16 p.m. Friday, July 3, to a possible structure fire at the 1316 Nooney St. residence occupied by Cherryl Wells.

According to the report, Wells told firefighters her roof had been struck by fireworks and was smoking.

Firefighters reportedly found residue of fireworks smoking on the roof, but Wells’ home was not on fire.

Firefighters used the department’s thermal-imaging camera to check the roof and attic area for fire extension. None was found.

Firefighters responded back to Wells’ home at 5:01 p.m. to a report of a tree stump on fire.

Firefighters reportedly found a small fire smoldering in a tree stump and used three gallons of water to put out the fire.
