Carlanda Mac Richardson, 44, who listed both Ninth Street and Bartlett Street addresses, was arrested at 7:50 p.m. Wednesday, June 17, on a warrant for possession of methamphetamine and a warrant for property damage. He was taken to the Butler County jail.

City firefighters responded to a call at 4:49 p.m. Wednesday, June 17, of a motor vehicle accident at 1036 Pine St. Police and EMS crews already were on the scene when firefighters arrived.

City firefighters responded to a report at 3:04 p.m. Wednesday, June 17, of an unauthorized burn at 714 West St. Upon their arrival, firefighters found the home’s occupant, Gregory Shepard, burning brush too close to the dwelling. They used 10 gallons of water to put out the fire and notified Shepard of the city’s burn ordinance.

City firefighters were dispatched at 12:25 p.m. Wednesday, June 17, to a motor vehicle accident at 2820 N. 11th St. Firefighters assisted EMS crews with removing the driver from the vehicle and packaging them for transport.

County firefighters responded to a call at 12:11 p.m. Wednesday, June 17, of a vehicle fire at 6687 County Road 436. Upon their arrival, firefighters put out a fire in a 2004 Dodge pickup, which was totaled.

James J. Cassin, 35, of St. Charles was arrested at 9:34 p.m. Wednesday, June 17, on suspicion of driving while intoxicated, driving while revoked, no insurance and no registration.
