City firefighters responded at 10:10 a.m. Friday, June 12, to a fuel spill at Huck’s, 703 N. Westwood Blvd.
According to the report, firefighters found a small amount of fuel was leaking from a damaged hose. Maintenance personnel were on the scene and removed the damaged hose.

City firefighters responded at 5:15 p.m. Sunday, June 14, to a fire at the 431 N. Henderson St. residence occupied by Melissa Dosier.
According to the report, firefighters found light smoke coming from the home upon their arrival.
Upon entering the home, firefighters found there had been a grease fire in an electric cook stove oven, which had been put out before their arrival using a bag of flour.
Firefighters unplugged the stove and moved it away from the wall. A positive-pressure ventilation fan was set up to remove the smoke from the home.
Poplar Bluff Housing Authority personnel were notified to check the stove.

City firefighters responded at 10:11 p.m. Saturday, June 13, to a report of something burning in the area of Ellen Street.
According to the report, firefighters found smoke in the area and an unauthorized burn at 1717 Sunset Drive.
Firefighters reportedly contacted the owner and told him about the city’s burn ordinance. The owner put out the fire.

City firefighters responded at 8:36 p.m. Friday, June 12, to a report of smoke in the area of 11th Street and Highway 53.
According to the report, firefighters found a fire in a burn barrel at the rear of 1725 S. 11th St. Trash and wire reportedly were being burned.
Firefighters reportedly told the owner about the city’s burn ordinance, and the owner put out the fire.

County firefighters responded 5:36 p.m. Sunday, June 14, to a report of a fire involving a deck at 2567 Highway JJ.
According to the report, a barbecue grill caught fire and set part of the deck on fire, burning small area. The owner was Willard Abbott.
