Lamont Savalas Green, 46, died Saturday, April 11, 2020 in Poplar Bluff, Mo. He was born January 5, 1974 in Poplar Bluff, Mo to the late Billy R. Green Sr. and Ney Ruth Clemons (Green). Lamont was a graduate of Poplar Bluff Senior High School and attended St. Charles Community College in St. Charles, Mo. Lamont Savalas Green, 46, died Saturday, April 11, 2020 in Poplar Bluff, Mo. He was born January 5, 1974 in Poplar Bluff, Mo to the late Billy R. Green Sr. and Ney Ruth Clemons (Green).

Lamont was a graduate of Poplar Bluff Senior High School and attended St. Charles Community College in St. Charles, Mo. He was an employee of Crawford Security in Poplar Bluff at the time of his death. His childhood was spent attending Plesant Hill Missionary Baptist Church.

He enjoyed taking drives to the lake, watching boxing, spending time taking nature walks with his family and working. Lamont genuinely loved people and was real with everyone he met. He loved reading his bible and watching bible stories. He would always say,”when you meet someone you should leave them better off than you found them.” He gave encouraging words to others no matter who they were. Lamont lived his life everyday under those principals.

In addition to being raised by his parents, he shared many memories and received guidance from his Aunt Dorothy Hunt (Granny Dear).

He was the father of four children, Amonte Coleman-Green, Avery Green, Shenisa Dunn and Mayah Green, along with two grandchildren. He also leaves behind his beloved companion, Stacy Roach, her children; Dylan, Riley, Rylan Roach and Mayah Green; six brothers, three sisters, many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents.

A private visitation will be held for family and friends on Saturday, April 18, 2020 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Driver Funeral Service Chapel, 523 W. Murray Ln., Sikeston, Mo. 63801

Due to the Coronavirus guidelines and restrictions, social distancing will be adhered to during visitation.
