Drive-thru locations for two new restaurants, a bakery and a coffee house, were approved Monday by Poplar Bluff City Council members.
The businesses will be part of a development at Tucker and Shelby roads, said city planner Matt Winters, in presenting the information to council for discussion and workshop sessions.
The applicant for the conditional use permits was John and Lilliana Hurst representing RLOS Investment Group.
The businesses would involved would include a second location of Foxtrot Coffee, a new location for Lemonade House Grille, a bakery and a possible new location for The Lunch Box, said Winters.
Fox Trot would be the only location that would take orders at the drive-thru window, he said. The other businesses would receive orders in advance to be picked up at the window.
Quite a bit of construction has been done on the Foxtrot building, Winters said. This building would be approximately 13,300-square-foot, with the coffee shop on one end and possibly The Lunch Box at the other end. Additional retail space would be open between the two businesses.
The Lemonade House Grill location is a standalone building, and is closest to being completed, Winters said. City documents show this would be 4,200-square-foot building.
The bakery would be in a third building, for which the footings have been poured, he said. Construction of this structure has not started. This building would be more than 7,000 square feet and include additional retail space.
