An 18-year-old Centerville resident was injured in a one-vehicle crash at 7 a.m. Thursday, April 2, on Highway 21, one and one-half miles south of Ellington.

According to the report, Tyler I. Dement was operating a 2011 Ford Escape southbound when he fell asleep, and his SUV crossed the center of the road and then left the road. Dement’s SUV then struck several trees before coming to its final rest.

Dement suffered minor injuries and refused treatment at the scene.

A 22-year-old Sikeston woman was injured in a one-vehicle crash at 11:50 a.m. Thursday, April 2, on Highway 153, six miles north of Parma in Stoddard County.

According to the report, Diana M. Salinas was operating a 2004 Oldsmobile Alero southbound when it ran off the road, struck a ditch and overturned.

Salinas suffered minor injuries and was taken by private vehicle to Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston for treatment.

BUTLER COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT

Jason Michael Findley, 39, of the 7900 block of Highway C was booked at the Butler County jail Friday, April 3, on suspicion of fourth-degree domestic assault.

Dillin Wade King reported Wednesday, April 1, that he had found a tool trailer had been entered March 23 at A.K. Builders LLC in the 2600 block of Highway 142.

According to the report, a large quantity of cordless tools was stolen, including Skilsaws, drills, impacts, angle grinders, reciprocating saws, jigsaw, drywall saw, grinder, palm sander, grease gun and finishing and standard staple gun.

Also stolen were batteries, charges, speed saw and rotary hammer.

Mike Ray Hughes reported March 23 that the locks were cut off several storage units at Southern Storage in the 200 block of East Outer Road.

According to the report, a chain saw was stolen. Any other missing items will be reported at a later date.

POPLAR BLUFF POLICE DEPARTMENT

Jesse Jay Brumfield Jr., 32, of the 1700 block of Illinois Avenue was arrested at 1:18 p.m. Thursday, April 2, at the intersection of Butler and 11th streets on a Butler County failure to appear warrant for assault and on suspicion of delivery or possession of a controlled substance at a correctional facility. He was booked at the Butler County jail.

Elizabeth Ann Ferguson, 29, of Poplar Bluff was detained Thursday afternoon at the Walmart Supercenter on suspicion of stealing and second-degree trespassing. She was processed and released on criminal summons.

Jason E. Waddell reported an enclosed area in the 1000 block of South Broadway was entered between noon March 28 and March 30 and an Arctic Cat all-terrain vehicle was stolen.
