As schools all around the state close in attempts to reduce the spread of COVID-19, districts are also working to ensure students are fed during the closures.

As schools all around the state close in attempts to reduce the spread of COVID-19, districts are also working to ensure students are fed during the closures.

Poplar Bluff R-I will offer free breakfast and lunch means for anybody under 18 at nine locations around the city starting Monday.

Both meals will be available from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday until the school district reopens.

Each child will need to be present to receive one breakfast and one lunch. Families do not need to enter the school and meals should not be consumed on site. No ID or paperwork is required.

The locations include:

• Poplar Bluff Middle School, 1300 Victory Lane, (ET Peters Gym Lobby)

• O’Neal Elementary, 2300 Baugh Lane (FEMA Gym Exit Door - Parent Pickup Location)

• Eugene Field Elementary, 711 Nickey Street (Gym/Cafeteria Exit Door)

• Bread Shed, 203 North D Street (Doors at Loading Dock)

• Wheatley School, 830 Garfield Street (Back Entrance)

• North Side Nutrition Center, 1450 Garfield Street (Parking Lot or Side Entrance)

• Oak View Apartments, 741 East Outer Road (Parking Lot)

• 3025 Nellie Sue Circle (Parking Lot)

• Midland Church, 110 West Victor Street (Parking Lot)
