Bobbie Jo Waddell, 84, of Poplar Bluff, entered her eternal home Sunday, March 15, 2020, at Cedargate Caring Center in Poplar Bluff.

Bobbie, the daughter of the late Robert and Maggie Ellen Timberman Boyers, was born Dec. 18, 1935, in the Coon Island Township of Butler County. She was a member of Pentecostal Holiness Church and worked as a Certified Nurse’s Assistant at Doctors Hospital as well as Lucy Lee Hospital. She and her husband Guy lovingly served as foster parents for many years. Bobbie enjoyed gardening, going to yard sales and playing with her cats, dogs and ducks.

She married the love of her life Guy L. ‘Ace’ Waddell on April 2, 1975 in Clay County, Ark. He preceded her in death.

Survivors include her son, John Patrick Waddell, and a sister, Roberta V. Conner, both of Poplar Bluff; four nieces, Ellen Oxley, Becky Jaco, Shirley Nichols and Vicky Nichols; and two nephews, A.J. White and Jimmy Dale White.

Bobbie also was preceded in death by three brothers, John Abraham Boyers, Eddie Nichols and Jimmie Nichols; and two sisters, Ruby Boyers Donika and Rinda Lou Boyers Aldridge.

The visitation originally scheduled has been cancelled. A graveside service and burial will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Woodlawn section of the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery with Pastor Nancy Lotz officiating.
