George Ronald Doty

George Ronald Doty, 86, of Poplar Bluff, Mo. passed away March 15, 2020 at his home in Poplar Bluff, Mo.

George was born Oct. 9, 1933 to the late Raymond and Mary Pearl (Spencer) Doty in Poplar Bluff. He married Shirley (Reynolds) Doty Sept. 30, 1960, in Plano, Ill. She preceded him in death Sept. 21, 2012.

George enjoyed his grandchildren, hunting and fishing.

George is survived by daughter, Janice Slavings; son, George R. Doty II; grandchildren: Jamey, Brian, Autumn, Nikita, George, and Anna; nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Geri Long.

George was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Doty and parents.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. - noon Thursday, March 19th, 2020 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff.

Funeral services will be at noon be Thursday, March 19, 2020 in the Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel with Ron Fowler officiating. Burial will take place at Three Springs Cemetery.
