Billy Joe Henson

Billy Joe Henson, 89, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., went to his heavenly home Sunday, March 15, 2020 at his residence, in Poplar Bluff.

Mr. Henson was born Monday, Sept. 08, 1930 in Broseley, Mo.. son of the late Walter and Gladys Henson. He had served in the Army as a MSgt during the Korean War He was an over the road truck driver for Yellow Freight and retired in September of 1985. He enjoyed fishing and playing bingo.

On May 9, 1954 he married Nell Jeannine Glass at Hernando, Mississippi. She preceded him in death on March 31, 1988. He was also preceded in death by one son; Jeffrey Curtis Henson.

He is survived by one daughter: Billy Jeannine Henson of Poplar Bluff, Mo. Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk. Funeral services will follow at noon in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jim Sanders officiating. Burial will be in Brown Chapel Cemetery at Broseley, Mo.
