Two Oxly residents were injured in a two-vehicle crash at 10:05 p.m. Friday, March 15, on Westwood Boulevard near Spring Street.
According to the report, Harry Eddie Dasch Jr., 38, of Oxly was operating a 2016 Dodge Charger, which was sitting in southbound traffic in the outside lane of Westwood near the Valley Plaza Shopping Center.
At the same time, Sandra Jean Tate, 59, of the 2700 block of Holly Trail was operating a 2013 Nissan Rouge behind Dasch’s car and allegedly struck his car.
Tate reported she was attempting to retrieve a cigarette from her lap when her vehicle allegedly struck Dasch’s car.
Dasch’s passenger, Brandon Walker, 26, reportedly was out directly traffic when the investigating officer arrived. After the officer’s arrival, Walker reportedly laid in the grass and told he officer he had neck pain and sharp pain in his back.
Another passenger in Dasch’s vehicle, Melinda Dasch, exited the vehicle upon the officer’s arrival to hand over insurance information. The woman complained of back pain.
Both Walker and Melinda Dasch were taken by ambulance to an area hospital for treatment.
