Keynote speaker Kathern Harris will present an informational session on the Tutoring Needs for Poplar Bluff at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Northside Community Center, 1450 Garfield St.
Parents, guardians and caretakers are welcome to attend.
Harris will discuss eligibility criteria, locations, calendar year and summer programs.
The program is being sponsored by a community outreach organization named “Women of Purpose,” composed of five women who stressed education played an important role in their lives.
The women are Gloria Blackmon, Tasha Brandon, Eardie Carter, Revia Wade and JoAnn Brandon, who is the chairperson. Their goal is to help others negotiate the road to success.
