Ron was born March 6, 1953 in Caruthersville, Mo. He ended his year-long battle with illness on Feb. 28, 2020 and departed to the open arms of God.

Ron was the longest living single organ transplant (liver) out of Barnes-Jewish Hospital, having just celebrated 31 years on Jan. 31.

He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

On May 31, 2001, Ron married Judy Milam-King of Poplar Bluff. She survives along with two daughters: Melanie (Brian) Sadler of Georgia and Shelly (Chris) Ridens of Poplar Bluff; two sons: Matthew Jones of Missouri and Zackary Jones of the home; three grandchildren: Caden and Jordyn Ridens and Aiden Sadler; one brother: Donald (Susan) Jones of Jefferson City and one sister, Barb Adam of Rolla.

There will be a memorial service to be announced at a later date. White-Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk is entrusted with the arrangements.
