NEELYVILLE, Mo. — Rev. Charles E. Kendle, 74, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., departed this life Friday, Jan. 3, 2020, at the SSM St. Clare Hospital in Fenton, Mo. NEELYVILLE, Mo. — Rev. Charles E. Kendle, 74, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., departed this life Friday, Jan. 3, 2020, at the SSM St. Clare Hospital in Fenton, Mo.

He was born May 2 1945 in St. Louis, Mo. and was a resident of Poplar Bluff.

He is survived by his wife, Bertha L. Corethers, whom he married July 21, 1973, in St. Louis, Mo.

Also survived by his children, Kimberly Jaekel, Lisa Savino and husband, Bill, Charles Kendle Jr. and significant other Jill Allison, Phillip Kendle and wife, Jami, Michael Kendle and fiancee, Karoline Davis; his grandchildren, Ashley Nicole Jaekel, Zachary N. Jaekel, Seth N. Jaekel, James Savino, Jacqueline Savino, Jesse Savinos, Charles Kendle III, Kaden Kendle, Karlie Kendle, Aaron Young, Toryn Kendle, Bo Davis and Seirra Davis; and four great-grandchildren, Giovanni Bracco, Viva Bracco, Elanoir Hausherr, and Adelina O’Dell.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford Kendle and Marie Counce Kendle; his grandparents, Arthur and Minerva Kendle and Frank and Della Counce; four sisters, Doris Kendle, Patricia Littrell, Barbara Lamb and Sally Malone; and four brothers, Robert Kendle, William Kendle, Clifford Kendle Jr. and Melvin Kendle.

He enjoyed hunting, reading his Bible, playing games with his grandchildren and camping with Mike and Kathy. He was a retire truck driver, who was in commercial hauling.

He was a member of the Southside Assembly of God Church in Poplar Bluff, where he served in the senior ministry.

Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2020 followed by the service at 2 p.m. both will be at Fowler & Sons Funeral Home, Neelyville. Burial will be in the City Cemetery in Poplar Bluff. The Rev. Jerry Lemons will officiate.
