DEXTER — William Thomas Crawford, son of the late William Crawford and Margaret McLean Crawford Howard, was born on January 30, 1937 in Greensboro, North Carolina and departed this life on Nov. 24, 2019 at his residence in Poplar Bluff at the age of 82 years.
Mr. Crawford was a former manager for the Foushee Candy Company in Dexter. He attended Zion Lutheran Church in Poplar Bluff.
On Nov. 7, 1954 in New Wells, Mo., he was united in marriage to Shirley Koch. Mrs. Crawford survives of their home in Poplar Bluff.
In addition to his wife, Shirley, he is survived by two sons, Jeff Crawford of Ellicott City, Maryland and Patrick Crawford of Poplar Bluff; by his daughter, Kim Marquis and husband, Wayne of Poplar Bluff; by three sisters, Kathy Scheper of Jackson, Mo., Retta Penrod of Murphysboro, Ill. and Debbie Wilson of Hanover, New Hampshire; by three grandchildren, Joe Marquis of Summerville, South Carolina, Jayson Marquis of Poplar Bluff and Chelsea Marquis of Fayetteville, Ark.; by six great-grandchildren, Natalie Marquis, Nathan Marquis, Mayson Marquis, Ruby Marquis, Ava Rains and Chloey Rains.
Other than by his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Michael Crawford.
Friends may call at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Wednesday, Nov. 27 from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Funeral services will then be conducted in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Justin Sponaugle officiating. Interment will follow in the Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson, Mo.
