VAN BUREN — David Harrison Collins, one of 18 born to the late Arthur Jessie and Mabel Ellen (McNeely) Collins, was born on Oct. 19, 1936, and went home to be with Jesus on Thursday, Nov. 7, 2019, at Evelyn’s Hospice House in Creve Coeur, Mo. He had attained the age of 83 years and 19 days.

David was of the Full Gospel faith and was the pastor of 21 Harbor Full Gospel Church in Ellsinore, Mo., for over 25 years. He also evangelized for many years. He enjoyed sharing the gospel and going to camp meetings.

He proudly served in the United States Navy for four years. He retired as a maintenance man at the Ozark Lead Mines. David was very caring, loving and compassionate towards others.

On Sept. 6, 2004, David was united in marriage to Sandra Wynn in Grandin, Mo.; she survives of the home.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra Collins of Ellsinore, Mo.; two sons, David Collins of Ellsinore, Mo., and Tom Collins and wife, Mary, of Ellsinore, Mo.; one stepson, Charles Coleman and wife, Roxanne, of Ellington, Mo; one stepdaughter, Missy Coleman of Bunker, Mo.; two brothers, Robert Collins and wife, Marilyn, of Arkansas and Johnny Collins and wife, Elaine, of Georgia; three grandsons, Jordan Collins and wife, Amy, of Ellsinore, Mo., Johnathan Collins and wife, Dustie, of Ellsinore, Mo., and Miles Collins and wife, Marissa, of Springfield, Mo.; many stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren and many relatives and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, David is preceded in death by four sisters, Bertha, Rose, Marigold, and Lilly; 11 brothers, Cletus, Cecile, Paul, Leonard, Issac, Leon, Phillip, Lemon, Luther, James and Danny.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
