The Poplar Bluff Municipal Library’s perpetual book sale will be expanded for three days next week to take over the library’s theater.

Next weekend, book lovers and entertainment enthusiasts alike are invited to come out to the sale and peruse the selection made available by donors.

“A library book sale is an event in which you can find so many good sources of entertainment, for a minimal price,” library Director Sue Crites Szostak said. “So, why not take full advantage of the occasion? After all the joy library book sales have brought me, I invite everyone to come to the Poplar Bluff Library’s biannual book sale.”

The library always has books for sale near the front desk as well as through biblio.com. However, twice a year for the book sales, more books get pulled out and marked down.

Crites Szostak said there will be books available from a variety of genres and for all age groups. Along with the more modern like-new hardcover bestsellers, popular authors, mass market paperbacks, nonfiction and science fiction books, there will also be older items and collectibles. Additionally, CD audiobooks, LP records, DVDs, and art prints will be available.

The money raised by these book sales goes toward the programs the library offers, such as classes and reading programs.

The sale will be on Nov. 1-3 in the library theater. Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday, 1-5 p.m. Saturday is half price day for select items and Sunday is $5 bag day where visitors can fill a bag for $5. Cash, check and card are accepted.
