The Oak Grove Homemakers Club met Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2019, at the home of Helen Dever. A delicious noon luncheon was enjoyed by all. Georgia Basham gave thanks for the noon meal. Helen Birdsong presided over the business meeting. Helen Dever gave a devotional, “Prayer Changes Things” from the Daily Bread publication.

Roll call was answered by nine members and three visitors about a Halloween experience that was unique to them. Visitors were Clara Freeman, Clara’s daughter Susan Corbett, and Nikki Frueh. Dorothy Robbins read the secretary’s report and Betty Ketcherside read the treasurer’s report, both reports were approved.

Three members, Georgia Basham, Martha Dee, and Ann Osborn, were appointed to a committee to select officers for the coming year. New officers will be voted on at the November meeting. Several Get Well and Thinking of You cards were signed by members. Jokes from the Reader’s Digest were read and enjoyed.

Karen Shelton won the door prize. Helen opened her hostess gifts and thanked everyone for the gifts. The meeting concluded with the recitation of the Club Collect with Darla Pabst joining in via FaceTime which was a first experience for the club. Betty Ketcherside to be the hostess for the November 20th meeting.
