Betty Lou Mast, 86, of Poplar Bluff, passed away Monday, Oct. 7, 2019 at Oakdale Care Center. Visitation will begin at 2:30 p.m. Friday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel with the funeral service following at 3 p.m. Her nephew, Rev. Mike Craig will officiate. Burial will be at Old Oak Hill Cemetery in Butler County.

Betty Lou Mast, 86, of Poplar Bluff, passed away Monday, Oct. 7, 2019 at Oakdale Care Center.

Betty, the daughter of the late Orville and Lillie Morrow Craig, was born June 10, 1933 in Mathews, Mo. She was a member of the Church of God. From 1973 to 1976, Betty worked as a cook at YTG Truck Stop, and from 1976 to 1986, she owned and operated Jess’s Drive In. She later retired after working 24 years as a cook at the University of Arkansas. Betty was an avid outdoorsman and loved working in her yard and garden and fishing. She also enjoyed word searches but her favorite past time was reading her bible.

Survivors include two daughters, Debra Sauls and Linda (Gary) Allen of Poplar Bluff; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Joanne (Butch) Ward of Poplar Bluff and Donna (Dean) Campbell of Wappapello and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Two brothers, Frank Craig and Bud Craig and a sister, Shirley Mast also preceded Betty in death.
