FISK — Cora Mae McGath, age 86, of Poplar Bluff, died Saturday, Oct. 5, 2019 at Westwood Hills Health Care Center, in Poplar Bluff. Mrs. McGath was born Feb. 3, 1933 in Qulin., daughter of the late Jack William and Dorothy Mae Taylor. She attended Palace of Praise.
Mrs. McGath was formerly married to Robert McGath. He preceded her in death on Oct. 23, 2018.
She is survived by one grandson, Brian Edward DeFord and two great-grandchildren, Paxton and Jacob DeFord of Birmingham, Ala.; three sisters, Norene Robison of Poplar Bluff, Dora Faye Anglin of Niles, Mich. and Anna Marie Jones of Kansas City, Mo.; one brother, Donald Lee Taylor of Loves Park, Ill. and an adopted daughter, Tina Gettings of Doniphan.
She was also preceded in death by two sons, Donald Edward and Gary Eugene DeFord; one daughter, Michelle Renee Sealy and two brothers, Randal Dean and Edward Brian Taylor.
Visitation will begin at noon Wednesday, Oct. 9 at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk. The funeral will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Bishop Kent Miller officiating. Burial will be in Brown Chapel Cemetery in Broseley.
