Butler County Sheriff
Kathy J. Parks, 54, of the 200 block of County Road 4412, reported at 11:40 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 3, that a pair of sunglasses were taken from Mini Mart Food at the 3900 block of N. Highway 67.
According to the report, Parks told officers she had observed an unknown white female wearing black pants and a pink tank top enter the business with another another female with red hair and a black man in a yellow shirt. The three went back to the game room and after they were done, the other two left the building to sit in the car while the female in the pink tank top went over to the sunglasses kiosk. According to the report, she picked up a pair and walked out with them, making no attempt to pay for the item.
Parks reported that the vehicle headed north on the outer road and eventually pulled into the Motel 6. Police were unable to locate the vehicle.

Catherine Elizabeth Wilcoxon, 55, of the 300 block of Sycamore Street reported at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 3, that an air compressor had been stolen from the family farm at the 200 1600 block of County Road 616 on the day prior.

Anthony Michael Tarvin, 46, of the 100 block of Main Street was booked in the Butler County jail Friday, Oct. 4, on four failure to appear warrants for first degree trespassing, stealing, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.

Shannon Lynn Robinson, 39, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 2:47 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4, on a failure to appear warrant.

Gene S. Hux, 34, reported on Friday, Oct. 4, the theft of a pair of men's shoes from the Academy Sports business.
According to the report, two white females, a while male and two young children entered the store and started looking through the footwear depart, selecting a pair of youth shoes. The male removed the stickers from another shoe box, which was lower in price, and placed them on the shoe box of the pair they’d selected. The proceeded to check out and left the store at approximately 8 p.m.

Ethan D. Vasquez, 31, of Sikeston was arrested at 2:45 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, on suspicion of driving while intoxicated and speeding. He was booked at Sikeston DPS and later released.

Brittany N. Beers, 24, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 2:27 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, on suspicion of driving while intoxicated (alcohol) and speeding. She was booked at the Butler County jail and later released.
