Donald Ray Sheehy Sr., 88, of Poplar Bluff, died Thursday, Sept. 19, 2019 at John J. Pershing VA Medical Center in Poplar Bluff. Visitation will be from 2-3 p.m. Monday, Sept. 23 in the chapel at Moore Funeral Service, 1100 Iron Bridge Road, Poplar Bluff.

Donald Ray Sheehy Sr., 88, of Poplar Bluff, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 19, 2019 at 4 p.m., surrounded by his loving family at the John J. Pershing Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Poplar Bluff.

Don was born on April 21, 1931 in Poplar Bluff, the son of Jesse C. and Jettie Frieda ( Miller) Sheehy. On August 9, 1954, he married Mary Ann Osborn in Poplar Bluff, together they shared over fifty-four years of marriage before her passing on February 25, 2009.

Don honorably served his country in the United States Air Force from 1951-1955. He spent his career as a mechanic working for Bryan Motors Lincoln and Mercury dealership for twenty-nine years before working for Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop E.

Don was a member of First Church of God in Poplar Bluff, he enjoyed fishing and watching St. Louis Cardinals baseball. Most of all he loved spending time with his family.

Don is survived by his sons, Donald Ray Sheehy Jr, Larry Joe (Lisa) Sheehy both of Poplar Bluff; brother, Jess Sheehy of Cape Girardeau; grandchildren, Bryant (Paige) Sheehy, Michelle (C.J. Million) Sheehy, Heather (Scott) Taylor, Justin (Colliena) Robison; and ten great-grandchildren all of Poplar Bluff.

In addition to his parents and wife, Don was preceded in death by a brother, Gerald Sheehy.

Visitation will be from 2-3 p.m. Monday, Sept. 23 in the chapel at Moore Funeral Service, 1100 Iron Bridge Road, Poplar Bluff.

Funeral Service will follow at 3 p.m. with Elder Cletis Powell Officiating.
