NEELYVILLE — Wilma Josephine ‘Jo’ Davis Worley died Sept. 15, 2019 at the Villa at Blue Ridge Nursing Home in Columbia, Mo. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. - noon Saturday, Sept. 21 at Fowler & Sons Funeral Home in Neelyville. The funeral will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Kenneth James officiating.

NEELYVILLE — Wilma Josephine ‘Jo’ Davis Worley left this life on Sept. 15, 2019 at the Villa at Blue Ridge Nursing Home in Columbia, Mo. and is now awaiting her family on the shores of Heaven.

Wilma was born to Hardy Mitchell Davis and Maude Catherine Stainer Davis on May 18, 1930. She was one of 12 children.

She attracted the attention of her spouse-to-be with her beautiful singing voice, as she rode home in the back of the pickup with her sisters from church. Wilma married George E. Worley on Nov. 2, 1946 in Piggott, Ark.

Wilma was a faithful member of the True Life Apostolic church for as long as her health allowed her to attend. She taught Sunday school for years and served in any capacity that was needed in the church. She was a loving homemaker, babysat for years and in her later years did in-home health care. Wilma loved to garden and sew. She warmed many loved ones with her beautiful quilts. Above all else, she loved Jesus and her constant fervent prayers and praise were as much a part of her day as breathing.

She is survived by five children, George E. Worley Jr. of Fulton, Mo., Wilma L. Drexler of Orlando, Fla., Brenda E. Waite of Moberly, Mo., Robert W. Worley of Columbia, Mo. and James L. Worley of Republic, Mo. Wilma was a proud grandmother of 15 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren and she loved them all. She has two surviving sisters-in-law, Shirley and Lorrine Davis, both of Poplar Bluff.

She is preceded in death by her husband; parents and siblings.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. - noon Saturday, Sept. 21 at Fowler & Sons Funeral Home in Neelyville. The funeral will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Kenneth James officiating. Burial will be in the Cochran Cemetery near Harviell.
