Christopher Lee Law, 42, of the 200 block of County Road 468 was arrested at 4:54 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, at Probation and Parole on a warrant for failure to appear on the original charges of no insurance and two counts driving while suspended. He was booked and later released on bond.

Cody Vaughn of the 2100 block of County Road 525 reported on Tuesday, Sept. 10, his home had been burglarized. Upon arriving home, he discovered the back door had been pried open and jewelry and computers missing, according to a police report.

Jim Sparkman of the 11000 block of Highway PP reported at 6:05 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11, he saw an individual drive away on his 2003 Suzuki King Quad ATV while he worked in an adjacent field.
The ATV was recovered along Highway H in Carter County on Sept. 12, according to a police report.

Georgia Dodge of the 12 block of Highway UU reported at 2:16 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 12, that sometime between Aug. 22 and Sept. 3, several items have turned up missing from her home, including a knife, jeans, driver’s license and iPod.

City firefighters responded to a motorcycle versus car accident at 4:02 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, at 941 Pine St.
According to the report, firefighters discovered the motorcycle driver sitting on the ground after he struck a utility pole. The driver complained of shoulder pain and firefighters rendered first aid until EMS arrived.

City firefighters responded to an alarm at 2:18 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, at the Twin Towers.
Upon arrival, they discovered the alarm company was testing the system, according to the report.

City firefighters responded to an alarm at 9:19 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, at 304 W. Victor St.
The home previously burned on Sept. 11 and was unoccupied Sept. 12.
When firefighters arrived, they found smoke coming from the roof area. Using a thermal imaging camera, a rekindled hot spot was located in the attic. Ten gallons of water was used to extinguish the fire and ventilation was needed to clear the building.
The city building inspector was notified.
