NEELYVILLE — James ‘Ed’ Crumley, 87, of Naylor, died Thursday, Sept. 12, 2019 at his residence. Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 15 at Fowler & Sons Funeral Home in Neelyville. The funeral will follow at 3 p.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Curtis True officiating.

NEELYVILLE — James ‘Ed’ Crumley, 87, of Naylor, died Thursday, Sept. 12, 2019 at his residence. He was born on Nov. 15, 1931 in Tennessee.

On Aug. 12, 1950 he was married to Mildred Willene Watkins in Piggott, Ark. She survives.

Mr. Crumley retired from MoDOT after 34 years of service and was a member of the Assembly of God Church. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean conflict.

Mr. Crumley enjoyed fishing, working in his garden and shop, family dinners and most of all, Jesus.

He is survived by his wife; children, Kathy Martin (Marvin) of Doniphan and Mike Crumley (Ramona) of Poplar Bluff; daughter-in-law, Charlotte Crumley of Doniphan; sister, Betty Gilbert (Leonard) of Naylor; six grandchildren, Chad Edward Crumley (Autum), Melanie Martin Brewer (Scott), Jamie Martin Kordick (Tim), Ashley Crumley Oldham (Daniel), Josh Crumley (Larran), Laura Crumley Hendrix (Matt) and 19 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Crumley is preceded in death by his parents, James M. and Lizzie Beth Barnickle Crumley; a son, Ronnie Crumley; five sisters, Omie Crumley, Drucilla Isom, Thelma Teel, Geneva Garner and a brother, Calvin Crumley.

Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 15 at Fowler & Sons Funeral Home in Neelyville. The funeral will follow at 3 p.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Curtis True officiating. Burial with full military rites will be in the Naylor Memorial Cemetery.
