AMVETS Auxiliary Post 29 recently awarded a significant donation to the John J. Pershing VA Medical Center’s Fall Festival, scheduled for Sept. 28, in conjunction with Downtown Poplar Bluff’s Iron Horse Festival.

The donation will provide meals to veterans attending the VA Fall Festival.

“We very much appreciate the generosity and support of AMVETS Auxiliary 29,” said VA Voluntary Services Officer Dale Garret. “This is just one of the ways they continue to help area veterans and we can always count on them when there is a need.”

The annual VA Fall Festival (formerly known as the Welcome Home) provides entertainment, food and information for veterans in Southeast Missouri and Northeast Arkansas.
