MISSOURI STATE HIGHWAY PATROL
Two Wayne County residents were injured in a one-vehicle crash at 4:55 p.m. Tuesday on Highway 49, two miles north of Mill Spring.
According to the report, Christian D. Ward, 16, of Piedmont was operating a 2008 Hyundai Tiburon northbound when it ran off the road and overturned.
Ward suffered moderate injuries, while his 19-year-old passenger, Patrick E. Peppers of Mill Spring, suffered minor injuries. Both were taken by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Miranda M. Johnson, 46, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 4:50 p.m. Tuesday on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine). She was booked at the Butler County jail.

Cody Wayne Hendrix, 33, of the 1100 block of Commerce Street was arrested at 11:05 a.m. Tuesday in the 400 block of Nickey Street on a municipal failure to appear warrant for possession of drug paraphernalia. He was booked at the Butler County jail.

Ronnie Eugene Allen Jr., 39, of the 900 block of Hickory Street was arrested at 3:56 p.m. Monday on Hickory Street on four municipal failure to appear warrants for three counts of no insurance and no operator’s license and a Butler County warrant for first-degree robbery. He was booked at the Butler County jail.

Heather Jackson reported Tuesday that the outside air conditioning unit at the Poplar Bluff Pulmonology and Sleep in the 2500 block of Lucy Lee Parkway was disassembled and parts stolen. The theft is believed to have occurred sometime since Saturday.

Three Poplar Bluff residents were injured in a two-vehicle crash at 6:36 a.m. Tuesday at the intersection of 10th and Tremont streets.
According to the report, Johnny Lee Price Jr., 24, of the 200 block of Ella Jean was operating a 2010 Chevrolet Malibu southbound on 10th Street, approaching the Tremont Street intersection when a 2011 Chevrolet Equinox entered the intersection and the two vehicles collided.
The Chevrolet Equinox, which was being operated by Mary Emery, 63, of the 1300 block of Spring Street, reportedly had a stop sign, while Price did not.
Price told offices he was southbound on 10th Street when Emery allegedly failed to stop and pulled into his path, causing the collision.
Emery reported she stopped at the stop sign and looked both ways before entering the intersection. She alleged Price’s vehicle “came out of nowhere and struck her vehicle.”
Family members reported Price and his 9-year-old passenger, Jayden Marie Price of the 200 block of Ella Jean, would be taken to seek medical attention. The elder Price declined treatment at the scene.
Emery was taken by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for treatment.
