GREENVILLE — A Williamsville man was charged with the murder of a woman missing since February 2017.

Craig Allen Wood, 43, was charged in Wayne County with the Class A felonies of first-degree murder and first-degree assault for attempted physical injury in connection with the disappearance of Rebecca “Becky” Alsup.

“He’s been a suspect from day 1,” Wayne County Sheriff Dean Finch said. “It was just a matter of putting it all together.”

Additional information was not available by press time.

The 34-year-old Alsup was last seen in the Williamsville area between Feb. 15-17, 2017 according to earlier reports.

The 29-month investigation involved Wayne County authorities and the Missouri State Highway Patrol. Finch said anyone that has information call the Sheriff’s Department at 573-224-3219 or the tipline at 833-865-5558. All information will be kept confidential, Finch said.
