City firefighters responded at 11:24 a.m. Sunday, June 23, to an alarm at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center, 3100 Oak Grove Road. It was investigation only.

City firefighters responded at 8:17 p.m. Saturday, June 22, to a report of an unauthorized burn in the 1000 block of Hickory Street.
According to the report, firefighters found a pile of scarp wood burning in a lot next to the 1106 Hickory St. residence occupied by Kenny Lock.
Firefighters reportedly contacted Lock and told him about the city’s burn ordinance, including how burning waste was prohibited. Firefighters used 20 gallons of water to put out the fire.

City firefighters responded at 2:55 p.m. Saturday, June 22, to a report of a stove vent hood heating up at the 1427 Seifert Drive residence occupied by Jack Ethridge.
According to the report, firefighters used the department’s thermal-imaging camera, but did not find any excessive heat.
Firefighters also reportedly checked the breaker box and didn’t find any excessive heat there.

City firefighters responded at 1:58 p.m. Saturday, June 22, to 316 W. Victor St. to provide lift assistance.
According to the report, when firefighters arrived, they found ambulance personnel leaving with the patient.

According to the report, firefighters found a small pile of smoldering rubble at 3100 Morrison Road and used 20 gallons of water to put out the fire.

City firefighters responded at 4:35 p.m. Friday, June 21, to a report of power lines arching at 2317 Thomas St.
According to the report, firefighters found low limbs across a power line had arched and knocked out power to the area.
Municipal Utilities personnel were notified.

City firefighters responded at 9:47 a.m. Friday, June 21, to an alarm at Poplar Bluff Senior High School, 3209 Oak Grove Road. It was investigation only.

City firefighters responded at 8:18 a.m. Friday, June 21, to a motor-vehicle crash near the intersection of Shelby and Roxie roads.
According to the report, firefighters provided medical care to an ejected passenger and subsequently assisted in packaging and loading the patient, who was flown from the scene.
Firefighters used Hyrdobreak to clean off the road and remained on the scene until street department personnel responded to clear debris off the road and complete road repairs.

County firefighters responded at 3:51 p.m. Saturday, June 22, to a structure fire at 152 Hackberry Lane.
According to the report, the house was full of smoke due to an electrical short in its heating/ventilation/air conditioning system. The owner was William Franklin.
