POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. — Our precious son, brother, nephew and uncle; Jason Tory Huckstep, 53, of Wappapello, Mo. went home to be with Jesus on April 29, 2019 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Tory was born on September 22, 1965, in St. Louis, Mo., the son of Jason and Joan (Cantrell) Huckstep.
Tory was a member of First Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff where he loved to worship together with his family.
Tory never met a stranger and greeted everyone he met, always remembering their full name. He had a wonderful memory, remembering his family members birthdays. Tory loved spending time with family, especially his nieces and nephews.
Survivors include his parents Joan and Carl Woods of Wappapello; two sisters, Sebrina Lynn Berra of Ballwin, Mo. and Jasonia Gay (Keith) Dinkelkamp of Fenton, Mo.; two step-sisters, Christina Elaine (Harvey) Thompson of Piedmont, Mo., Suzanne Marie (Danny) Henson of Bloomfield, Mo.; one uncle Edwin Kenneth (Kelly) Cantrell of Ironton, Mo. Tory is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Tory was preceded in death by his father Jason Huckstep Jr. and grandfather Edwin Grover Cantrell.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 3 from 10-11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Poplar Bluff. Funeral services will follow beginning at 11 a.m. with Pastor William Vail and Pastor Brandon Spain officiating.
Burial will follow immediately at Little Brushy Cemetery in Wappapello.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to First Baptist Church, 551 North Westwood Boulevard, Poplar Bluff, MO 63901.
