Christy Shawan has been named Vice President-Operations of Saint Francis Medical Partners Southwest for Saint Francis Healthcare System. Shawan will focus on Saint Francis Healthcare System’s Black River Medical Center (Lab, Radiology, Outpatient Center), Kneibert Clinic, Northwest Medical Center – Operations, Physicians Park General Surgery, Physicians Park Primary Care and Immediate Convenient Care, Piedmont Physician Associates, Poplar Bluff Neurology Specialists, Poplar Bluff Pediatrics and Saint Francis Health Center in Dexter.

Shawan most recently served as Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer of Black River Medical Center. Prior to that, she was a Senior Account Executive at Accenture Management Consulting.

“Christy Shawan’s experience in health care administration in our Southwest region is a great asset as Saint Francis Healthcare System grows to serve more people,” said Maryann Reese, President and Chief Executive Officer of Saint Francis Healthcare System.

Shawan earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from University of Missouri – Rolla. She is affiliated with American Hospital Association, Missouri Hospital Association, Institute of Industrial Engineers and numerous community affiliations.

Saint Francis Healthcare System and Black River Medical Center announced a merger in February with a summer completion date.

Jason Bandermann has been named Vice President of Saint Francis Medical Partners Operations Northeast for Saint Francis Healthcare System’s Executive Team.

Bandermann will be responsible for Cape Physician Associates, Saint Francis Pediatrics, Cape Primary Care, Charleston Family Care, Farmington Physician Associates, Ferguson Medical Group – Charleston, East Prairie, Scott City and Sikeston, Immediate Convenient Care – Cape Girardeau, Immediate Convenient Care – Jackson, Jackson Family Care, and Physicians Alliance Surgery Center.

Bandermann began working at Saint Francis Healthcare System as a referral services manager in August 2007. He began managing Cape Diabetes and Endocrinology in 2009 and became administrator of Physicians Alliance Surgery Center in 2012. Bandermann became the Director of Ambulatory Services at Saint Francis in 2013. He oversaw acquisitions and affiliations with Jackson Physician Associates, Jackson Immediate Convenient Care, Farmington Physician Associates and Piedmont Physician Associates. In October 2018, Bandermann became Executive Director of Physician Practices.

Bandermann earned a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Math Education from Southeast Missouri State University and a Masters of Business Administration from William Woods University.

Alex Ogburn has been named the new Vice President of Saint Francis Medical Partners.

He will focus on Saint Francis Healthcare System’s Clinically Integrated Network, Accountable Care Organization and continue his work with the provider network, Saint Francis Medical Partners.

“This new role will shift my focus to working with our physicians and providers and continue our impressive gains in quality, patient satisfaction, provider experience and improved value,” Ogburn said. “Leveraging these strengths will help ensure our success as a system in the quickly evolving environment.”

Ogburn most recently served as the Vice President of Ambulatory Services at Saint Francis Healthcare System for the past six years. He joined Saint Francis Healthcare as a Referral Services Manager in 2004. Since then, he has served as Director of Occupational Medicine and then Ambulatory Services.

Before joining Saint Francis Healthcare, Ogburn served as the Vice President of Recruiting at Merritt Hawkins Group in Dallas/Ft. Worth, Texas.

Ogburn earned his Bachelor of Science in psychology from Texas A&M University in 1996. He earned a Master of Business Administration with healthcare emphasis from William Woods University in 2007.
