SEMO honors area ag students

Southeast Missouri State University’s Department of Agriculture recently recognized 22 area students with outstanding achievement awards for the 2018-2019 academic year during an honors banquet.

The students were recognized for their academic excellence, participation in student organizations and off-campus service.

Outstanding Plant and Soil Student: Mara Mayo of Bloomfield, Mo.

Outstanding Poplar Bluff Student: Branden Smith of Poplar Bluff, Mo.

Outstanding Sikeston Student: Gage Silman of Sikeston, Mo.

Outstanding Kennett Student: Chase Burch of Poplar Bluff and Terkrisha Durden of Portageville, Mo.

Outstanding Undergraduate Research Student: Bud Hilburn of Kennett, Mo.
